The Asociación Coahuilense de Espeleología, A.C. and the Association for Mexican Cave Studies are pleased to invite you to participate in EspeleoCoahuila 2008, 3-6 July 2008. This year's event will be in Múzquiz, Coahuila, and will begin with one day of conferences followed by two days of field trips. Cavers, archeologists, biologists, geologists, mountaineers, climbers, cave divers, explorers are all encouraged to attend. There are many undocumented caves in the area, and access to local ranches has been arranged to visit these.
EspeleoCoahuila 2008 will be held at Balneario La Cascada, just to the south of town. We will camp by the lovely waterfall and pools, with security and showers provided at the campground. The conferences will be held in the adjacent Casa de la Cultura (above left). There are two caves at the cascada, one of which (above right) has a watercrawl that continues and is said to be home to a crocodile.
